Her body fits against mine.
My arms are full,
and wanting more,
wanting all of her.
She leans in,
her mouth hovers
by my ear
when she says,
"You’re not like
the rest of them,
are you?”
I pull back to see
her eyes gesturing
to the human males
around us,
oblivious to the fact
that a killer dances among them.
“How do you know?” I ask her.
"Let’s call it a sense,”she says,
a slight smile tugging up her lips.
No one in all these years
has ever uncovered me.
How has she managed the feat?
"What are you?” she asks,
pulling me out of my ponderings.
"You don’t want to know,” I say,
for fear she will leave
the space she’s in,
so tightly wrapped around me,
as our bodies meld with the music.
"Tell me,” she whispers,
and I do,
hoping this won’t be the last time
I see her.
